Kicevo is set for a major healthcare investment with plans for a new hospital complex estimated at around €22.5 million. The project was presented during a visit by Deputy Health Minister Jovica Andovski, Kicevo Mayor Aleksandar Jovanoski and General Hospital Kicevo Director Maja Cvetanovska Trajkovska, alongside representatives of the World Bank. The proposed investment is expected to address long standing problems with hospital infrastructure and improve access to medical services for residents of Kicevo and nearby communities.
The planned investment is valued at approximately 1.38 billion denars and is intended to replace inadequate hospital conditions that have affected the area for decades. According to the Ministry of Health, the new facility would provide a more modern and safer environment for patients while also giving doctors, nurses and other medical staff better working conditions. The project is being presented as a long term investment in the quality and accessibility of healthcare in the region.
New Hospital Could Expand Healthcare Access in Kicevo
The proposed Kicevo hospital is expected to include modern facilities for diagnostic services, inpatient treatment and emergency care, alongside medical gas systems and energy efficient solutions.
