Raj Subramaniam Receives 2026 Appeal of Conscience Award in New York

Raj Subramaniam received the Appeal of Conscience Award at the 61st Annual Gala of the Appeal of Conscience Foundation in New York, where Rabbi Arthur Schneier also received a Lifetime Achievement Award.

The event was held on September 23, 2026, at The Pierre Hotel in New York City. Subramaniam, President and Chief Executive Officer of FedEx Corporation, was recognized for his international visionary leadership.

61st Annual Appeal of Conscience Awards

The event was chaired by Brian Moynihan, Chair and CEO of Bank of America and a Trustee of the Appeal of Conscience Foundation. Subramaniam said he was honored to receive the award and highlighted FedEx’s belief in connecting people through trade and innovation.

Earlier in the evening, Rabbi Arthur Schneier received a Lifetime Achievement Award for six decades of interfaith work and dedication to promoting interreligious harmony and understanding. In his remarks, Schneier spoke about the role of religion in creating a shared moral language that can bridge divisions.

The evening also included a message from Pope Leo XIV, delivered by Cardinal Pietro Parolin. Greetings from U.S. President Donald J. Trump and United Nations Secretary General António M. Guterres were presented by Bishop Irinej of Washington-New York and Eastern America of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

Appeal of Conscience Foundation

The Appeal of Conscience Foundation has worked worldwide since 1965 on religious freedom, human rights, peace and tolerance. The organization brings together business, religious and foreign policy leaders and promotes mutual understanding, peace and interreligious cooperation.

The foundation also highlights its work to protect minorities and promote dialogue with religious leaders. The Serbian Orthodox Diocese of Eastern America noted its role in fostering dialogue with Serbian Patriarch Pavle and other religious leaders in the Balkans.
