Tamara Vučić has shared a photo showing her alongside U.S. President Donald Trump and her husband, Aleksandar Vučić, during a reception in New York.
She posted the image on Instagram on Thursday, saying it was taken at a reception hosted by Trump on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
“Some photos are worth waiting ten days for,” Tamara Vučić wrote alongside the image.
She also commented on Trump’s recognizable pose in the photograph and said the picture could not capture the jokes that prompted the smiles seen in the image.
The photo shows Trump standing between Tamara and Aleksandar Vučić, with all three smiling for the camera.
Photo Comes After Questions About New York Reception
The image was published after several days of claims and speculation on Serbian social media and among political opponents over whether Aleksandar Vučić had attended Trump’s reception during his visit to New York.
Vučić was in New York for the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, where he addressed the General Debate on September 23. Reuters also documented his appearance at UN headquarters that day.
During her own visit to New York, Tamara Vučić participated in events held on the sidelines of the General Assembly. She attended a gathering of first ladies and gentlemen at UN headquarters focused on social resilience and global challenges.
She also met U.S. First Lady Melania Trump during the visit.
The newly published photograph provides a glimpse of the reception hosted by the U.S. president during the UN gathering in New York.
