Hall of Famers, champions, and sporting legends will come together on October 19 in Alexandria, Virginia, for the A250 Sports Conference, celebrating the longstanding connections between Croatia and the United States through sports.
The conference will bring together an impressive lineup of athletes, coaches, and award-winning storytellers whose careers have helped shape the sporting relationship between the two nations.
Among the featured guests are Pat Miletich, UFC Hall of Famer and former champion; David Diehl, two-time Super Bowl champion with the New York Giants; Ante Razov, Croatian-American soccer legend and former U.S. Men’s National Team striker; Ivana Habazin, four-time world champion boxer; and Aljoša Asanović, who scored Croatia’s first goal in its modern international football era.

Through a series of panels and discussions, participants will explore key moments in Croatian-American sports history, including the historic Croatia–USA football match in Zagreb in 1990. Discussions will also look ahead to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the LA28 Olympic Games, and the future of Croatian baseball, basketball, and volleyball.
Beyond the achievements of individual athletes, the conference will highlight how sports can build bridges between communities, strengthen international relationships, and create opportunities for future generations.
