The Municipality of Kriva Palanka will mark the 16th edition of the cultural event “Brides’ Veneration of St. Theodore Tyron” on Sunday, March 1, 2026, starting at 1:00 PM. The celebration will take place in the courtyard of the Church of St. Theodore Tyron in the village of Konopnica.
Organized by the Municipality of Kriva Palanka in cooperation with the Association for Rural Development RZR “Patnik,” the event is dedicated to preserving authentic Macedonian folk costumes, traditional wedding customs, and the local cultural identity of the region.
The program will feature a musical performance by renowned singer Andrijana Alachki, accompanied by the band of Goce Sintezis.
Mayor Sasko Mitovski highlighted the importance of the celebration, emphasizing the municipality’s commitment to safeguarding cultural heritage.
“With great joy and as true hosts, we open our doors to all well-intentioned visitors who wish to experience this special day. We promise to preserve the spirit of tradition, the beauty of our customs, and the authenticity of our traditional costumes, passing these values on to future generations,” Mitovski said.
Municipal officials are inviting citizens and culture enthusiasts from across the country to attend and take part in this vibrant celebration of heritage, community, and living tradition.
