Vučić Warns of Alleged Regional Military Bloc in Talks with Milorad Dodik

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said he discussed regional security concerns with Bosnian Serb leader Milorad Dodik, including what he described as efforts to form a military alliance involving Zagreb, Pristina, and Tirana.

In a statement shared on social media, Vučić characterized the talks as “substantive,” focusing on key political and economic issues affecting Serbs across the region. He emphasized that he had informed Dodik about what he sees as a potential threat to regional stability and security stemming from closer defense cooperation among the three capitals.

The meeting also addressed the current political situation in Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina, with Dodik briefing Vučić on recent developments.

Both leaders agreed to deepen cooperation on strategic issues and confirmed joint participation in an upcoming commemoration marking the anniversary of the World War II-era prisoner breakout at Donja Gradina, scheduled for April 19.

Vučić’s remarks come amid ongoing tensions in the Western Balkans, where security dynamics and political alliances continue to draw close attention from regional and international actors.
