Bomb Threat Reports, Immediate Evacuations at Major Zagreb Shopping Centers

Several major shopping centers in Zagreb were evacuated on Thursday morning after police received reports of alleged explosive devices, triggering a security response across multiple locations. Police ordered the evacuation of visitors and staff from Arena Centar, Avenue Mall Zagreb and City Center one East, while checks were carried out at all three sites. Reports said the warnings had been sent to several media outlets, and officers moved quickly to secure the affected areas and begin inspections.

According to witness accounts, alarms were heard around 8 a.m., and police officers were stationed at entrances as the buildings were cleared and the surrounding areas secured. Authorities in Zagreb said only that operations were still underway and did not immediately release further details. More information is expected after the security inspections are completed.
