Russia has received an invitation to take part in the G20 summit scheduled to be held in the United States in December, according to remarks from Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin, as reported by Anadolu.
Pankin said the invitation was issued for participation at the highest level, but noted that no final decision has yet been made on who will represent Russia at the gathering. He added that the choice of delegation is expected to be made closer to the date of the event.
The summit is set to take place in Miami, Florida, on December 14 and 15.
The G20 summit brings together leaders of the world’s major developed and emerging economies for annual discussions on key international economic and political issues, including the most pressing global challenges.
