Montenegro’s Young Water Polo Team Edges Germany for Third World Championship Win

Montenegro’s youth water polo team earned its third victory at the World Championship in Zagreb, defeating Germany 11-10 in a closely contested matchup Thursday.

The Montenegrin squad delivered a strong performance throughout most of the game and held on in the final quarter to secure the narrow win. The quarter scores were 4-3, 2-4, 1-3 and 3-1.

Dimitrije Milić led Montenegro with three goals and was named Player of the Match. Branko Đurđevac and Mlađen Kovačević scored twice each, while Vukašin Gojković, Nikola Mršulja and Marko Franeta also found the net.

Montenegro will learn its next opponent after the group stage concludes and the final rankings are determined under the tournament’s new competition format.
