The United States has increased economic pressure on Iran by imposing new sanctions on 10 individuals and organizations accused of supporting Iranian weapons programs.
The measures freeze any assets held in the United States by the designated individuals and entities and prohibit U.S. persons from conducting transactions with them, the U.S. Department of the Treasury said.
The individuals and entities targeted by the sanctions operate in China, Hong Kong, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye.
The Treasury Department accused them of procuring weapons components for Iran’s Ministry of Defense.
