Croatian singer Tajči Cameron will perform in New York City on Thursday, October 15. She will share the stage with jazz pianist John di Martino.
The concert, called “Daydream Jazz Set,” will feature classic jazz songs and American standards. The program will also include popular European songs.
The show will take place at Pangea NYC, located at 178 2nd Avenue in Manhattan.
Tajči and John di Martino Reunite in New York
Tajči and Di Martino performed together in New York last fall. Now, they are returning with another jazz program.
Di Martino has worked with several well-known musicians, including Freddy Cole and Ray Barretto. He has also performed internationally throughout his career.
During the concert, Tajči will sing while Di Martino accompanies her on piano. Together, they will present a mix of jazz, European music and personal stories.
The smaller venue will allow the artists to connect more closely with the audience.
In addition, the show will give fans a chance to hear Tajči perform songs outside her traditional pop style.
From Croatian Pop Music to American Jazz
Tajči became famous as a pop singer in Croatia. However, her career took a different direction after she moved to the United States.
Over the years, she has added jazz, cabaret and storytelling to her performances.
Today, her concerts often combine different musical styles and personal experiences.
Her upcoming show also offers Croatian Americans a chance to enjoy live music from an artist with strong ties to their homeland.
The concert starts at 7 p.m. and ends at 8:30 p.m. Advance tickets cost $30.
Fans can expect an evening of familiar songs, jazz piano and live vocals in an intimate New York setting.
