Irish rock legends U2 have released their new single, “The Greatest Show On Earth,” and announced the first dates of their upcoming 2027 stadium world tour. The song is the third single from the band’s forthcoming 16th studio album, Carnaval De Luz, scheduled for release on November 13, 2026.
The new single arrives with an official music video directed by longtime collaborator Anton Corbijn and filmed in the California desert. The black-and-white video satirically portrays U2 as a religious cult whose members wear masks while women do all the heavy lifting.
The track follows the previously released singles “Silencio” and “Street Of Dreams.”
U2 Announces Stadium Tour for 2027
The band has confirmed six concerts across three major Latin American cities in February and March 2027, with American musician Beck joining as the opening act. Additional dates in Europe and North America are expected to be announced in the coming weeks, while plans are also underway for U2’s return to Ireland.
Discussing the tour, the band described the title as a challenge to deliver an unforgettable live experience.
“‘The Greatest Show On Earth’? Now that’s a throwdown. It’s a dare, to ourselves as much as anyone, to try and have the best night of anybody’s life,” the band said.
The tour marks U2’s return to stadium performances following their acclaimed residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas, where they played 40 shows between 2023 and 2024.

Carnaval De Luz will be U2’s first studio album of new material since 2017’s Songs Of Experience. In 2023, the band released Songs Of Surrender, featuring reimagined versions of songs from across their catalogue. Earlier in 2026, they also released the EPs Days Of Ash and Easter Lily.
With a new album and an international stadium tour on the horizon, U2 are preparing for another major chapter in their decades-long career.
