A 52-year-old Serbian national died after a tragic accident at Oktoberfest in Munich, where he was struck and trapped by a gondola on the “Hangover” free-fall attraction.

The man was working as a security guard at the amusement park when the accident occurred on September 21, shortly before 10 p.m.

According to reports, he suffered life-threatening injuries and was initially resuscitated at the scene before being taken to a hospital in Munich, where he later died.

What Happened at the Oktoberfest Attraction?

The accident occurred at the “Hangover” attraction, a free-fall tower approximately 80 meters high. The gondola descends at high speed while carrying passengers.

Preliminary information indicates that the Serbian worker was in an area where he was not permitted to be when the gondola struck and trapped him. Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the accident.

The area around the attraction was closed while emergency services responded to the incident.

The victim, identified in subsequent reports as Aleksandar S., was working security at the Oktoberfest amusement park. His family and friends expressed shock following his death.

According to his family, he had planned to visit Oktoberfest with his wife and son the following day. His relatives also said they were still trying to understand how he ended up in the restricted area.
