Slovenia and Macedonia will face each other tomorrow in a Balkan derby at Ljubljana’s Stožice Stadium, with both national teams entering the match in poor form and carrying disappointing recent statistics.
Macedonia are looking for their first victory under head coach Goce Sedloski in his sixth match in charge. Including the final part of Blagoja Milevski’s tenure, however, the “Lynx” are currently on a nine-match winless run.

Slovenia’s recent record is not much better. They have recorded just one victory in their last 11 matches, prompting some particularly demanding expectations from the home camp ahead of the clash.
Slovenian media have been highly critical of the national team’s performances over the past two years, and there is now growing pressure for the team to finally record an official competitive victory after a long wait.
Slovenia drew 0–0 at home against Scotland, in a match in which the visitors were the better side, while Macedonia were thoroughly outplayed by Switzerland in a 3–0 defeat.
