On October 8, EXPO 2027 Belgrade will present Serbia’s tourism and business opportunities in Skopje as part of the “Visit Serbia B2B Networking” event.
The event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Public Room in Skopje, bringing together professionals from the tourism sector and representatives of the business community to explore new opportunities for cooperation ahead of the first Specialized Expo to be held in the Western Balkans.
As part of its international promotional tour, Serbia is presenting EXPO 2027 Belgrade in key European markets ahead of its opening on May 15, 2027. The Skopje event will provide an opportunity to develop joint tourism programs and establish new business partnerships between theese two countries.
Macedonia has confirmed its participation in EXPO 2027 Belgrade with a pavilion titled “All the Rhythms of the Sun.”
Through music, gastronomy, wine, hospitality, nature, tourism, culture and art, the pavilion will showcase the country’s diverse attractions to international visitors.
During the three-month Expo, Macedonian companies will have the opportunity to present their products and services, organize or participate in business discussions and meetings, and connect with Serbian and international companies.
Danilo Jerinić, Executive Director of EXPO 2027 Belgrade, said that this two countries share much more than a common border.
“Our countries are connected by geography, history, culture and close human ties. We want to build on this foundation and create even more opportunities for people to discover our countries — as tourists, visitors and business partners,” Jerinić said.
He added that EXPO 2027 offers a platform to further connect the tourism industries and business communities of the two countries, develop new partnerships and turn regional connections into long-term opportunities for cooperation.
They already have close economic ties, reflected in both trade and tourism.
According to the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, bilateral trade in goods reached €1.5 billion in 2025.
Tourism between the two countries is also growing. From January through July 2026, Serbia recorded 82,047 arrivals of tourists from Macedonian side, representing a 22% increase compared with the same period in 2025.
EXPO 2027 represents an opportunity to further strengthen these established ties, deepen business relations and encourage tourism initiatives connecting destinations in both countries.
