The St. Sava Choir in Mississauga is preparing for a fall concert on October 17, 2026, bringing Serbian choral traditions to the local community.

Serbian Toronto Television shared an announcement for the event, which is scheduled to take place at All Serbian Saints Serbian Orthodox Church in Mississauga, Ontario.

The concert will offer an opportunity for members of the Serbian-Canadian community to gather around music and cultural heritage.

A Choir With More Than 70 Years of History

The St. Sava Choir has been part of Serbian community life in the Toronto area since 1955.

Founded on February 20 of that year, the choir began performing at St. Sava Church in Toronto. It later became the official choir of All Serbian Saints Serbian Orthodox Church in Mississauga.

According to its official website, the group performs religious hymns and traditional Serbian songs.

Its repertoire includes a cappella music, a form of choral singing performed without instrumental accompaniment.

The choir also participates in religious services, community celebrations and cultural events.

Serbian Music and Heritage in Canada

The October 17 concert continues the choir’s longstanding role in preserving Serbian musical traditions in Canada.

Community choirs have provided generations of Serbian Canadians with opportunities to maintain cultural connections through music.

The St. Sava Choir remains an active part of the Serbian Orthodox community in Mississauga.

The concert venue is located at 2520 Dixie Road, Mississauga, Ontario.

Additional information about the program and admission arrangements has not been confirmed.
