Houston Takes Control Against Dallas
Houston dominated the second quarter, outscoring Dallas 38-12 to build a commanding halftime lead.
Kevin Durant and Jabari Smith Jr. led the Rockets with 30 points each. Alperen Şengün added 23 points and 10 rebounds.
The Rockets maintained their advantage throughout the second half, despite Dallas showing improvement after halftime.
Bogdanović contributed off the bench as Houston secured its first victory of the season.
For Dallas, Cooper Flagg delivered an impressive performance with 32 points. Kyrie Irving added 15 points, but the Mavericks could not overcome Houston’s early advantage.
A New Chapter for the Serbian NBA Star
Bogdanović joined the Rockets during the summer of 2026, bringing years of NBA experience to the franchise.
The Serbian international previously established himself as a reliable perimeter shooter and an important member of Serbia’s national basketball team.
His arrival gives Houston another experienced option in its backcourt as the franchise looks to improve on its previous playoff campaigns.
Although Bogdanović played limited minutes in the season opener, his debut marked the beginning of a new chapter in his NBA career.
The Rockets will aim to build on their opening victory as the new season continues.
