New Commemorative Euro Coin Set “Vukovar 2026” Released

Hrvatska kovnica novca has announced the release of a new collector’s edition featuring Croatia’s 2026 euro circulation coins in brilliant uncirculated quality.

The “Vukovar 2026” euro set includes the complete range of euro and euro cent denominations bearing the 2026 minting year. Issued as a special themed edition, the set pays tribute to the historic city of Vukovar.

Located at the confluence of the Vuka River and the Danube, Vukovar has been recorded in written sources since the early 13th century. Over centuries, it developed into an important commercial and transport hub. Today, the city stands as a powerful symbol of modern Croatian history, widely recognized for landmarks such as the Vukovar Water Tower, as well as its rich cultural heritage visible in the historic city center, the Eltz Manor, and the archaeological site of Vučedol.

The set will be issued in a limited mintage of 5,000 pieces. Sales begin on February 19, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., exclusively through the official online store of the Croatian Mint.
