Evacuation Flight From Dubai Lands in Montenegro, Macedonian Citizens Among Passengers

An evacuation flight carrying 138 passengers departed from Dubai early this morning and landed safely at Tivat Airport in Montenegro, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro announced on the social platform X.

According to the ministry, the aircraft carried passengers of several nationalities, including citizens of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Croatia, Italy, the United States, Greece, Turkey, and South Africa.

The flight was organized through coordination between the Montenegrin Foreign Ministry, the airline Flydubai, and the Embassy of Montenegro in Abu Dhabi. Authorities said the operation was part of broader efforts to assist foreign nationals leaving areas affected by the escalating tensions in the Middle East.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of North Macedonia reported that 632 Macedonian citizens have so far contacted the ministry seeking information and assistance regarding potential evacuation from crisis-affected areas in the Middle East.

Unlike several neighboring countries that have already begun large-scale evacuations of their nationals from the region, many Macedonian citizens are still waiting for charter flights promised by the authorities to facilitate their return. Officials say preparations for evacuation efforts are ongoing, but no precise timeline has yet been announced.
