Unique Freight Carriers, a Serbian-American trucking company owned by Luka Jovanovic and operating for 13 years, welcomed Mayor Dragoslav Pavlovic of Niš this week. Each of UFC’s trailers features a white angel, a symbol of protection for the Serbian people and Orthodox Christians, visible across the American highways.
During the visit, Luka highlighted that their trucks proudly display “Kosovo and Metohija,” representing a connection to their heritage and resilience through challenges. Mayor Pavlovic responded warmly, extending his hand in recognition of the company’s achievements.
In a message shared on social media, Mayor Pavlovic emphasized his vision for Niš as a hub for advanced technologies and international collaboration. “We are continuing conversations with companies in Chicago. Niš is a beautiful and promising European city, and it’s time to show the world the potential we have,” he said.
UFC’s longstanding presence in the United States demonstrates the growth of Serbian businesses abroad and strengthens the connections between Niš and global markets.
