Ambassador Ljubica Z. Acevska to Speak at UMD’s 4th Annual Macedonian Women’s Conference in New Jersey

The United Macedonian Diaspora (UMD) will hold its 4th Annual Macedonian Women’s Conference on March 28, 2026, in Fairfield, New Jersey, bringing together Macedonian women from across the diaspora for a day focused on leadership, community, and professional growth. The event, titled “Balancing the Scales: Preserving Our Roots While Building Our Future,” will feature panel discussions, speaker sessions, and networking opportunities designed to encourage dialogue, mentorship, and collaboration.

Participants will take part in conversations covering cultural identity, leadership, entrepreneurship, workplace equity, financial empowerment, wellness, and building a generational legacy within the Macedonian community.

A key moment of the conference will be the keynote address by Ljubica Z. Acevska, the first Ambassador of the Republic of Macedonia to the United States. In her talk, “Resilience, Reimagined: Navigating One’s Career and Life,” Acevska will speak about resilience, leadership, and the challenges and opportunities people encounter throughout their personal and professional journeys.

According to the organizers, the conference aims to highlight the long-standing role of Macedonian women as leaders and connectors within their families, professions, and communities, while creating space for new ideas and stronger ties across generations.
