Denver Nuggets Dominate Golden State Warriors as Nikola Jokić Leads NBA in Rebounds and Assists

The Denver Nuggets defeated the Golden State Warriors (116–93) at home, marking their sixth consecutive victory. After wins over Toronto, Portland, Phoenix, Dallas, and Utah, Nikola Jokić and his teammates also took down the Warriors.

The first half belonged to Golden State. Thanks to three-pointers from Brandin Podziemski and Kristaps Porziņģis, they built a 13-point lead and went into halftime ahead by seven.

However, the Nuggets responded with a phenomenal third quarter. In just 12 minutes, they scored 40 points while holding the Warriors to 21. They entered the final quarter with a 12-point advantage and comfortably closed out the game.

Jokić recorded 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists in that crucial third quarter. Before the final period, he had already tallied 25 points, 13 rebounds, and 8 assists but did not extend his triple-double streak, as coach David Adelman decided to rest him in the fourth quarter, with Jonas Valančiūnas taking his place.

As the regular season nears its end, Jokić is once again averaging a triple-double. He is putting up 27.9 points per game (7th in the NBA), while leading the league in rebounds (12.8) and assists (10.8) per game.

Jokić finished the game with 25 points, 15 rebounds, and 8 assists in 36 minutes, shooting 10/20 from the field, 4/8 from three-point range, and converting his only free throw attempt.

He received strong support from Jamal Murray, who added 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists.

The Warriors were led by Podziemski and Porziņģis with 23 points each, while Draymond Green contributed 13 points and 8 assists. Golden State was significantly weakened by the absence of Stephen Curry, who missed his 25th game due to a knee injury.
