Macedonian cardiologist Nikola Bakraceski from Ohrid has been awarded the prestigious title of Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) during an official ceremony held alongside one of the world’s largest annual cardiology gatherings in New Orleans.
The recognition, granted by the American College of Cardiology, places Dr. Bakraceski among a distinguished global network of cardiovascular specialists acknowledged for their expertise, professional achievements, and contributions to the field.
This latest honor follows his election in January 2025 as a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC), further solidifying his standing within the international cardiology community. With both titles, Dr. Bakraceski becomes one of the few cardiologists in the region to hold these two highly regarded distinctions simultaneously.
FACC and FESC designations are considered among the most respected professional milestones in cardiology, recognizing physicians who demonstrate excellence in clinical practice, research, and ongoing commitment to advancing cardiovascular medicine.
“It is both an honor and a privilege to be part of the American College of Cardiology,” Dr. Bakraceski said. “This recognition is a reminder that dedication, continuous learning, and professional growth always carry real value.”
