First Swimmers in Ulcinj Mark the Start of the Tourist Season

The first swimmers in Ulcinj have officially opened the summer season, with several visitors entering the sea during the first weekend of April, signaling the informal beginning of the tourist period along the Montenegrin coast. Despite relatively early timing, a noticeable number of tourists were already present in the city, while some visitors chose to sunbathe and swim, setting the tone for the upcoming season.

The main activity was concentrated around the Small Beach area, where the promenade and hospitality venues were filled with guests, reflecting increased movement and early seasonal activity. The weekend was further marked by organized events, including concerts held on the beach as part of the celebration of the Municipality Day, contributing to the lively atmosphere.

The appearance of the first swimmers, even before the official peak season, aligns with the broader pattern in Montenegro, where the beach season traditionally begins in late spring, although some visitors start earlier despite cooler sea temperatures.
