Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen is on an official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he met members of the country’s Presidency in Sarajevo. He was received by Presidency Chair Denis Bećirović and Presidency member Željko Komšić, with the visit forming part of a broader official program running through April 16.
The visit included both formal talks and a tête-à-tête meeting, and the organizers scheduled a press conference to follow. A business forum titled “Future Economic Prospects: Bosnia and Herzegovina–Republic of Austria” is also planned as part of the visit.
Van der Bellen is also expected to hold meetings at the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, underlining the political and economic focus of the Austrian president’s trip.
