Humanoid robots in China have drawn attention online after a video showed them performing “Moravac”, a traditional Serbian folk dance.
The video was shared on Instagram by Serbian Finance Minister Siniša Mali, who is currently on an official visit to China.
Mali said the recording was made during a visit to the innovation center of Chinese company Minth Future Factory.
“Many things are possible in China, even robots dancing Moravac,” Mali wrote in his Instagram post.
According to Mali, similar humanoid robots could be used to welcome visitors at EXPO 2027 in Serbia. The announcement comes as Serbian officials continue discussions with Chinese partners on technology, innovation and industrial cooperation.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, who is also visiting China, said that the first phase of humanoid robot production, including assembly, is expected to begin in Serbia by July 15.The video has sparked interest online because it combines advanced robotics with a recognizable symbol of Serbian cultural tradition.
