One of the most emotional moments in Macedonia in recent days came during the graduation celebration of Andreja, the son of the late musician Pancho, who lost his life following the tragic fire at the Pulse nightclub. Former Macedonian basketball star Pero Antić stepped in to accompany the boy on an important milestone in his life, fulfilling a role that deeply touched the public and generated widespread reactions on social media.
Photos shared from the event showed Antić arriving with Andreja for his graduation celebration, standing by his side in a gesture many described as an act of friendship, solidarity and respect for Pancho’s memory. Antić reportedly greeted the boy with the words “Happy graduation, handsome,” before accompanying him to the event. The images quickly spread across social networks and media outlets, with many praising the former basketball player for the support shown to the family during a difficult period.
The occasion carried particular emotional weight because it was one of the first major family milestones following Pancho’s death. Andreja’s mother shared her feelings publicly, expressing pride in her son while also acknowledging the absence of a loved one on such an important day. Her message reflected both the joy of seeing her son reach a significant stage in life and the sadness that the family could not celebrate the moment together as they once expected.
