Edin Džeko to Wear Custom Boots by Macedonian Artist Satja Grabuloski at the World Cup

Bosnia and Herzegovina captain Edin Džeko will wear unique custom-made football boots at the upcoming FIFA World Cup, designed by Macedonian artist Satja Grabuloski and his studio Swithadot Studios. The project represents another high-profile sports collaboration for the Macedonian artist, whose work will now appear on the world’s biggest football stage through one of the most important players in Bosnian football history.

The boots were created as part of the OneOfAKindS line and were designed specifically for Džeko. Their concept is inspired by his well-known nickname, “The Bosnian Dragon”, a symbol closely connected with his status as captain, leader and one of the most respected football figures from the Balkans. The design includes hand-crafted blue elements, the flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and details made with 18-karat liquid gold.

According to the description of the project, the gold elements symbolize greatness, leadership and the legacy Džeko is leaving behind. The boots are therefore not presented only as sports equipment, but as a personalized artistic piece that reflects his career, his role in the national team and his broader importance for Bosnian football.

Grabuloski expressed satisfaction that the collaboration with Džeko was realized, describing him as one of the greatest athletes to come from the Balkans, a captain, a leader and, above all, a great person. He said that Džeko had been at the very top of their wish list and emphasized that all the names with whom the studio has collaborated have the status of greats, leaders of their national teams and among the best of their generations.

The collaboration combines football, national symbolism and contemporary custom design. For Džeko, the boots carry references to his identity as the “Bosnian Dragon” and to his leadership role in the national team. For Grabuloski and Swithadot Studios, the project represents another international appearance of Macedonian creative work through a major sporting figure and a global event followed by audiences around the world.
