Skopje’s Aerodrom to Host World’s Biggest 3×3 Basketball Tournament as Red Bull Half Court Returns

The Municipality of Aerodrom in Skopje is set to become the epicenter of street basketball this weekend, hosting the Macedonian leg of the Red Bull Half Court, the world’s largest 3×3 basketball tournament. Taking place on June 13 and 14 at the newly reconstructed “Avionche” park, the event will bring together the country’s top streetballers competing for the national championship title and a coveted spot at the World Finals in Manila, Philippines, this December. This marks the fourth consecutive year that Skopje has served as a host city for the global streetball circuit, cementing its growing reputation on the international basketball map.

The tournament will unfold on a fully renovated court at Avionche park, which has been upgraded with modern facilities to match the caliber of competition expected. Over 8,000 participants are projected to compete across more than 14 countries worldwide during the 2026 season, with national qualifiers spanning from India and Nigeria to Ukraine and Australia before converging in Manila on December 5 for the World Finals. The Red Bull Half Court format adds a unique twist to traditional 3×3 play, while teams advance by winning games, a bonus qualification spot is awarded to the team with the highest cumulative point total across all matches, meaning even squads that don’t top their brackets can still punch their ticket to the Philippines. Beyond the competitive action, attendees can expect a vibrant atmosphere complete with music and entertainment, transforming the park into a full scale basketball festival.

A major highlight of the weekend will be a special appearance by Piotr “Grabo” Grabowski, the world renowned Polish dunker and four time FIBA 3×3 dunk champion. Grabo, widely regarded as the planet’s leading dunk specialist with nearly 70 contest victories to his name, will deliver an electrifying show for fans. His presence adds star power to an already stacked event, following his recent triumph at the inaugural FIBA Dunk Mania contest in Warsaw. The Municipality of Aerodrom has extended an open invitation to all sports enthusiasts to join what promises to be an unforgettable weekend of hoops, community, and celebration. With the national title on the line and a trip to the Philippines at stake, the Avionche park is poised to deliver some of the most exciting street basketball action Macedonia has seen all year.
