Montenegro to Host U18 Balkan Volleyball Championship in Podgorica

Montenegro is set for another major volleyball weekend as the U18 Balkan Championship begins in Podgorica.

The tournament will be held from June 25 to 29 at the Verde Sports Center, bringing together some of the region’s top young volleyball players. Over five days, fans will be able to watch 20 matches featuring talented U18 national teams from across the Balkans.

Montenegro, led by head coach Balša Radulović, will compete in a group with Turkey, Romania and Kosovo. The home team will play all three group-stage matches at 5 p.m., starting Thursday.

The second group includes Serbia, Greece, Bulgaria and Moldova.

Coach Radulović has already named his squad for the tournament. The team includes setters Luka Milošević and Aleksa Kovačević, while the attacking and receiving line features Vuk Stanojević, Aleksa Radić, Filip Milosavljević, Mihajlo Grupković, Filip Radić, Pavle Knežević and Vuk Ojdanić.

Montenegro’s middle blockers are Vukota Čelebić, Vasilije Obradović, Grigori Berežkov and Andrej Rudan, while Mirza Mujović will play as libero.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals, while the remaining teams will compete for placement from fifth to eighth place.
