Montenegrin President Jakov Milatović sent a congratulatory message to U.S. President Donald Trump on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence of the United States.
In his message, Milatović extended congratulations on behalf of the citizens of Montenegro and in his own name, wishing the United States and its people continued prosperity and well-being.
He emphasized that Montenegro and the United States share strong and long-standing friendly relations, which continue to be confirmed through bilateral cooperation, mutual respect and regular high-level political dialogue.
Milatović also highlighted the importance of continued U.S. support for stability in the Western Balkans and for Montenegro’s reform process. He said that American support represents an important incentive for the country’s further development and European path.
“Montenegro is firmly moving toward the European Union while continuing to nurture its strategic partnership with the United States,” Milatović said.
The Montenegrin president expressed confidence that Montenegro and the United States, as friends, partners and allies, will continue strengthening their ties and overall cooperation in the years ahead.
