A new documentary exploring the life and career of tennis superstar Novak Djokovic is set to premiere on Amazon Prime on August 20.
Titled “Novak Djokovic: The Wolf in Winter,” the film takes viewers through the Serbian champion’s journey from his childhood years to becoming one of the greatest players in tennis history.
The documentary focuses on the challenges Djokovic faced while growing up, including the impact of war, financial struggles and the sacrifices made by his family to support his dream of becoming a professional tennis player.
According to the film’s description, Djokovic entered the tennis world as an outsider. After rising onto the professional stage, he faced skepticism from fans and critics who saw him as a challenger to the popular rivalry between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.
The newly released trailer features appearances from some of tennis’ biggest names, including Andre Agassi and Rafael Nadal, who discuss Djokovic’s career, achievements and influence on the sport.
The documentary is directed by Jason Hehir, the filmmaker behind the acclaimed Michael Jordan series “The Last Dance,” which became one of the most popular sports documentaries in recent years.
The film promises to offer a closer look at the determination, obstacles and ambition that shaped Djokovic’s path from a young player with a dream into a global tennis icon.
