Tourists entering Montenegro through the Dobrakovo border crossing are receiving a warm welcome this summer as part of the “Connect With Montenegro” campaign, an initiative designed to create a positive first impression for visitors arriving in the country.
The campaign is organized by the National Tourism Organization of Montenegro in cooperation with marketing partner ONE. After launching successfully in June at the airports in Podgorica and Tivat, the initiative has now expanded to one of Montenegro’s busiest road entry points.
Visitors arriving at the border crossing are greeted by campaign representatives who provide travel information, promotional gifts, refreshments and snacks. Tourists also receive free ONE eSIM cards with one day of unlimited internet access, allowing them to stay connected immediately after entering Montenegro.
Milena Vujović, spokesperson for the National Tourism Organization of Montenegro, said the campaign has received strong support from tourists and the local community and has now been successfully implemented for the third consecutive year.
She explained that the first moments after arriving at a destination often shape the entire travel experience. Through the campaign, Montenegro aims to show visitors that they are entering a country that values hospitality and appreciates its guests.
The campaign organizers hope the initiative will become a long lasting tradition and eventually expand to additional border crossings with support from more partners.
Jelena Marković Čađenović, communications expert at ONE, said the company is pleased to continue its partnership with the National Tourism Organization through an initiative that provides practical benefits to travelers from the moment they arrive.
She said staying connected after arrival allows tourists to quickly inform family and friends that they have arrived safely, organize their travel plans or share their first experiences in Montenegro. Through the campaign, ONE is offering visitors free internet access this summer at Podgorica and Tivat airports, helping them stay connected and enjoy their trip from the beginning.
This year’s campaign is once again supported by Aqua Bianca as the main sponsor. Company director Radmila Vučković said the company is proud to support initiatives that improve the welcome visitors receive and help promote Montenegro as a friendly and attractive tourist destination.
She added that a successful tourism season depends on cooperation between institutions and businesses, and expressed hope that the campaign will help create positive memories for visitors from the moment they arrive.
Through this initiative, Montenegro continues to focus on improving the visitor experience and showing its hospitality before tourists even begin their journey across the country.
