A powerful summer storm swept across eastern and southeastern Macedonia, leaving behind damage to vehicles, rooftops, and local power infrastructure. Heavy rain and fierce winds hit several municipalities, causing uprooted trees and localized hazards across multiple regions. The coastal town of Dojran experienced some of the most severe weather, where high winds knocked down large trees, crushed parked vehicles, and damaged beachfront structures. Municipal emergency services, utility teams, and local volunteers mobilized immediately to clear blocked roadways and begin repairing power grid disruptions caused by downed branches.
Emergencies were reported across neighboring municipalities, keeping firefighters and first responders active throughout the night. In the Strumica region, severe winds caused several structural hazards and ignited fires, prompting emergency deployments to extinguish a barn fire in Visoka Maala and a brush fire in Murtino. Emergency crews also worked to clear fallen trees blocking major roadways in Novo Selo to restore safe traffic flow. Meanwhile, brief downpours in Kriva Palanka created temporary hazards on local streets and mountain routes. Despite the extent of the material damage reported across the region, local officials confirmed that no injuries were sustained during the storm.
