Macedonia’s young billiards players delivered one of the country’s strongest performances in recent years, finishing tied for fifth place at the European Youth Billiards Championship held in Podčetrtek, Slovenia.
The tournament brought together many of Europe’s top junior players, with Macedonia represented by a new generation of athletes competing in several disciplines and age categories.
The team’s best overall result came in the team competition, where Macedonia advanced to the quarterfinals before being eliminated by Germany. The finish earned the squad a shared fifth place in the final standings.
Several Macedonian players also produced notable individual performances throughout the championship, gaining valuable international experience against some of Europe’s strongest youth competitors.
The results reflect the continued growth of billiards in Macedonia, where interest in the sport has increased in recent years through youth development programs and national competitions.
Officials from the Billiards Federation praised the players’ performances, saying the championship provided an important opportunity for the country’s young talent to compete on the international stage and continue their development.
