Macedonian tennis player Kalin Ivanovski was unable to finish his match against Slovenian player Bor Artnak at the ITF 25 Olersbach tournament in Austria after being forced to retire because of an injury.
Ivanovski faced eighth seeded Artnak in the opening round of the tournament but struggled during the match. The Macedonian lost the first set 6 4, and after Artnak took a 1 0 lead in the second set, Ivanovski decided he could not continue.
The tournament in Olersbach is part of the ITF World Tennis Tour and features a $30,000 prize pool, with players competing for valuable ranking points.
The injury interruption comes after a successful period for Ivanovski, who recently returned to competition and won the Macedonian Open 2026 title.
Despite this setback, Ivanovski remains one of Macedonia’s leading tennis players and continues to compete on the international circuit.
