Macedonian Passport Ranks 33rd in Global 2026 Ranking

The Macedonian passport has secured the 33rd place in the latest global passport ranking for 2026, placing it among the more powerful passports in the Balkan region.

The ranking measures the strength of passports based on the number of destinations citizens can visit without obtaining a visa in advance or through simplified entry procedures.

Macedonia’s position reflects improved global mobility for its citizens, allowing easier international travel compared with previous years. Within the Balkans, several countries continue to rank higher, especially EU members whose passports provide wider access due to their Schengen membership.

The latest results show that European passports remain among the strongest in the world, while countries with broader visa free access continue to dominate the top positions.

Passport rankings are updated regularly and are considered an indicator of a country’s international mobility and the travel opportunities available to its citizens.
