Temporary Bus Platforms in Ljubljana to Be Removed as Railway Station Renovation Continues

Passengers in Ljubljana will soon see changes to public transportation as temporary bus platforms created during the renovation of the city’s railway station are being removed.

The temporary platforms were introduced as part of the ongoing reconstruction project at Ljubljana Railway Station, which has required adjustments to passenger routes and traffic organization. The changes are part of a larger effort to modernize the station area and improve railway infrastructure.

With the removal of the temporary platforms, bus services will return to adjusted locations as work on the transport hub continues. Authorities are asking passengers to pay attention to updated information and allow extra time when traveling through the area.

The renovation of Ljubljana’s railway station is one of the largest transport projects in Slovenia, aimed at improving passenger access, increasing capacity and creating a more modern connection between different forms of public transportation.

During the construction period, passengers have faced several temporary changes, including altered access routes to train platforms and modified station arrangements. Officials say the adjustments are necessary to complete the modernization works while maintaining regular transport operations.
