Citizens across Serbia will have the opportunity to donate blood at several locations as part of ongoing voluntary blood donation campaigns organized throughout the country.
Mobile blood donation teams will be available at different locations, including Novi Beograd, Požarevac and Smederevo, with scheduled donation hours for residents who want to contribute.
People can also donate blood regularly at the Institute for Blood Transfusion of Serbia in Belgrade, where donations are accepted on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on weekends and holidays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Health authorities remind citizens that healthy adults between the ages of 18 and 65 can usually donate blood after a medical checkup and a blood test to confirm that the procedure is safe for both the donor and the recipient.
Blood donation remains an important part of Serbia’s healthcare system, as donated blood is needed for emergency situations, surgeries and treatment of patients with serious medical conditions. Every donation can help provide life saving support to those in need.
