Montenegro has enough oil reserves to maintain a stable fuel supply, Energy and Mining Minister Admir Šahmanović said. He added that the government is closely monitoring developments affecting fuel prices.
Šahmanović sought to reassure consumers that the country’s fuel supply remains secure despite uncertainty and price fluctuations in the international oil market.
Government Monitoring Fuel Prices
The minister said government officials are following market developments and evaluating their potential impact on retail fuel prices in Montenegro.
Fuel prices in the country are adjusted under the existing calculation system, which reflects changes in international petroleum prices and currency movements.
Oil Reserves Support Stable Supply
Montenegro’s oil reserves provide an additional safeguard in the event of disruptions to regular imports or other problems affecting the market.
Šahmanović said the government remains prepared to respond if circumstances change, while emphasizing that there is currently no reason for concern about the availability of fuel.
