Alexander Volkanovski successfully defended his UFC featherweight championship, defeating previously undefeated Movsar Evloev by technical knockout in the second round at UFC 333 in Abu Dhabi on Saturday.

Following the victory, the UFC celebrated the champion with the message, “The Legend Continues,” while a Macedonian flag featuring the Sun of Kutlesh drew attention among Macedonian fans.

Volkanovski, who represents Australia, has Macedonian roots through his father, whose family originates from the village of Beranci near Bitola, Macedonia. The victory further strengthens Volkanovski’s legacy in the featherweight division and adds another successful title defense to his career.
