The Split boxing and kickboxing camps brought together 280 participants for two weeks of intensive training with leading Croatian and international combat sports professionals.
The two summer camps were held at the Franjo Tuđman Student Center in Split. Together, they turned the Croatian coastal city into a meeting point for domestic athletes, global champions and experienced coaches.
The Boxing Summer Camp welcomed 80 participants, while the Kickboxing Summer Camp attracted another 200.
Croatian Boxing Stars Lead First Summer Camp
The Boxing Summer Camp took place from July 26 through Aug. 2, bringing together athletes and coaches for a full week of training.
Participants had the opportunity to learn from some of the best-known names in Croatian boxing. The coaching lineup included Stipe Drviš, Stjepan Božić, Pero Veočić, Gabriel Veočić and Ante Matas.
The camp allowed its 80 participants to improve their skills through direct work with boxers and coaches who have experience at the highest levels of the sport.
After the boxing program concluded, the focus shifted to kickboxing for the second week of activities.
International Champions Join Kickboxing Camp
The Kickboxing Summer Camp ran from Aug. 2 through Aug. 9 and welcomed 200 participants.
The event combined international expertise with the experience of established Croatian coaches. Participants trained with globally recognized kickboxing figures Sergej Maslobojev, Giorgio Petrosyan and Sam Petje.
They were joined by domestic coaches Gordan Vatavuk, Agron Preteni, Roko Doždor and Muhamet Deskaj.
The combination of international and Croatian instructors gave participants access to knowledge from major global competitions as well as coaches who have spent years developing kickboxing in Croatia.
Across the two events, the Split boxing and kickboxing camps delivered two weeks of training for 280 combat sports enthusiasts.
Organizers thanked the coaches, participants and partners who contributed to the camps. They also expressed hope that the events will attract even more participants next year.
