Nikola Jokić delivered yet another triple-double performance as he continues to close in on the historic record held by Russell Westbrook, leading the Denver Nuggets to a dramatic 125–123 win over the Phoenix Suns.
Denver struggled to find its rhythm early, allowing Phoenix to dictate the pace and build a double-digit lead (30–19) by the end of the first quarter. However, the momentum shifted before halftime, as the Nuggets surged back with a strong finish to the second quarter, heading into the break with a commanding 67–57 advantage.
The visitors maintained control for much of the second half, but the Suns refused to back down. The tension peaked in the closing moments when Devin Booker tied the game at 123–123 with just 28 seconds remaining.
Still, it was Jokić who had the final say. With 11 seconds on the clock, he calmly knocked down the decisive basket to seal the win. Phoenix had one last chance, but Booker missed a three-pointer, and Royce O’Neale couldn’t force overtime on the follow-up.
Jokić finished with a masterful stat line of 23 points, 17 rebounds, and 17 assists, adding another triple-double to his growing tally. He was supported by Jamal Murray (21 points), Tim Hardaway Jr. (18), and Aaron Gordon (16).
For Phoenix, Booker led with 22 points, while Grayson Allen and Josh Okogie chipped in with 21 each.
