Two earthquakes struck Serbia during the night, with the epicenter located near the town of Bezdan in the north of the country.
According to the Serbian Seismological Survey, the stronger quake, measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale, was recorded at around 2:35 a.m. local time. The estimated intensity at the epicenter reached level VI on the Mercalli scale, which may cause minor structural damage in the immediate area.
A second, weaker tremor followed shortly after, with a magnitude of approximately 2.5.
The earthquakes were felt across a wider region, including parts of Serbia, Croatia, and Hungary, with residents reporting shaking of furniture and windows.
There have been no immediate reports of significant damage or injuries.
