A moderate earthquake struck central Croatia on Wednesday morning, according to preliminary data from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre.
The tremor was recorded at 9:51 a.m. local time near the city of Sisak. EMSC reported the quake had a magnitude of 4.1, with the epicenter located about 56 kilometers southeast of Zagreb and 10 kilometers south of Sisak, at a depth of around nine kilometers.
Residents reported feeling the shaking in several locations across the area. There were no immediate reports of major damage or injuries.
The earthquake comes just two days after another tremor was recorded in Dalmatia. That quake, registered on Monday at 5:25 p.m., had a magnitude of 3.7 and an epicenter near Svilaja, about 15 kilometers northwest of Sinj.
