State leadership congratulates Muslim believers
North Macedonia’s state leadership sent greetings to citizens of Islamic faith on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski and Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi addressed believers and their families with messages focused on peace, health, mutual respect and social unity.
Siljanovska-Davkova: Diversity can be a bridge
President Siljanovska-Davkova emphasized that Eid al-Adha, through the symbolism of giving and sacrifice, promotes humanity, empathy, solidarity and responsibility toward others. She said that love and care for one’s neighbour help build an integrated society in which differences are an advantage and a bridge toward unity, not an obstacle.
Mickoski: Solidarity and togetherness as shared values
Prime Minister Mickoski wished believers good health, peace, calm and prosperity in every home. He said the holiday reminds society of solidarity, humanity, mutual respect and care for others, adding that citizens should continue building a society of understanding, unity and respect, where diversity is a strength and togetherness is the future.
Fetai: A holiday of sacrifice, faith and peace
The head of the Islamic Religious Community, Reis-ul-Ulema Shaqir Fetai, also extended greetings for Eid al-Adha. He said the holiday carries the message of sacrifice, faith, humanity and solidarity, calling for peace among people and care for others.
Filipche: Society’s strength is measured through humanity
SDSM leader Venko Filipche said Eid al-Adha is a symbol of humanity, sacrifice and care for others. He emphasized solidarity, mutual support and understanding, adding that the strength of a society is measured by its unity and humanity.
Together, the messages presented Eid al-Adha as a holiday that calls for compassion, responsibility and coexistence, while placing emphasis on respect for diversity and the importance of building a more united society.
