The City of Ljubljana has introduced free access to all municipal outdoor swimming pools for the duration of the ongoing heatwave, allowing residents and visitors to cool off as temperatures remain high.
The measure applies to the Kolezija, Kodeljevo and Ilirija outdoor swimming pools, with free admission remaining in effect until the heatwave subsides. City authorities said the initiative is intended to provide residents with easier access to public facilities during the period of extreme temperatures.
The decision is part of Ljubljana’s response to the current heatwave, which has affected much of the region. Local officials are encouraging people to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to the sun during the hottest part of the day, and make use of the free swimming facilities as a way to reduce the impact of the high temperatures.
