The Association of Croatian American Professionals (ACAP) has raised nearly $50,000 through a fundraising initiative connected to its 10th annual conference in Seattle, bringing the organization close to its goal of supporting educational and professional opportunities for the next generation.

The campaign has reached approximately 96% of its $50,000 target, according to an update published by ACAP. The fundraising effort supports the organization’s broader mission of connecting Croatian-American professionals and creating opportunities for young people.

The milestone follows the organization’s anniversary conference, held October 1–4, 2026, which brought together professionals, entrepreneurs and community leaders from the United States and Croatia.

Seattle Gala Celebrates a Decade of Community Building

The fundraising campaign was highlighted during ACAP’s gala dinner and awards ceremony on October 3 at the Westin Seattle.

The evening included a silent auction, musical performances and recognition of individuals who have contributed to the Croatian-American professional community.

Croatia’s ambassador to the United States, Pjer Šimunović, attended the event, alongside representatives of ACAP’s leadership and partner organizations.

The program also recognized young participants in the organization’s Future Leaders initiatives and highlighted the Domovina Birthright Program, which connects young members of the Croatian diaspora with their heritage.

ACAP honored 12 individuals across six award categories during the anniversary celebration.

Investing in the Next Generation

ACAP supports scholarships, internships, professional networking and educational initiatives designed to strengthen connections between Croatia and its diaspora.

The organization has developed a network of chapters across the United States and Croatia, bringing together professionals from business, technology, healthcare and other sectors.

Its Seattle conference also featured discussions on artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, science, global affairs and Croatian cultural identity.

Although the anniversary event has concluded, the fundraising campaign remains open as ACAP works toward its $50,000 goal.

The initiative reflects the organization’s emphasis on creating opportunities for younger generations while maintaining professional and cultural ties between Croatian communities on both sides of the Atlantic.
