The Albanian-American community will celebrate its language and traditions at the 34th Annual Albanian Festival on November 1, 2026. The event will take place at the Performing Arts Center at Purchase College in New York.

The festival will bring together Albanian-American families, musicians and dancers. This year’s celebration will focus on the Albanian language and its role in keeping cultural traditions alive.

The program will run from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets cost $35.

Music, Dance and Albanian Traditions

The 34th Annual Albanian Festival will honor the Albanian language through music, dance and cultural performances.

The Montclair State University Albanian Balkan Ensemble will also join the celebration. The university lists its performance between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Visitors can enjoy traditional performances and learn more about Albanian culture. The festival also gives young Albanian Americans a chance to connect with their family’s heritage.

For many immigrant families, language plays an important role in keeping traditions alive. Children who grow up in the United States may speak English at school and with friends. Events like this encourage them to hear and use Albanian outside their homes.

Music and dance also help families share their culture with younger generations.

A Longstanding Tradition in New York

The Albanian Festival has become an important annual event for the Albanian-American community in the New York area.

Now in its 34th year, the celebration continues to bring families together. It also welcomes visitors who want to learn about Albanian customs and traditions.

The Mother Teresa Center of Our Lady of Shkodra Catholic Church organizes the festival.

The event reflects the strong cultural ties that Albanian Americans maintain with their homeland. For many families, these gatherings offer more than entertainment. They provide a chance to meet friends, share memories and introduce children to their roots.

The festival will take place at the Performing Arts Center at SUNY Purchase, 735 Anderson Hill Road, Purchase, NY 10577.

Doors will open at 4 p.m., and the main program will begin at 5 p.m.

Tickets cost $35. For reservations, visitors can contact Petrit Grishaj at (347) 736-7099.

The 34th Annual Albanian Festival promises another evening of music, community and cultural pride in New York.
