Belgrade Comes to Chicago: Serbian Cheer Station to Support Balkan Runners at the 2026 Chicago Marathon

The 2026 Bank of America Chicago Marathon will take place this Sunday, October 11, bringing approximately 55,000 runners from around the world to one of the most iconic races in the United States. Among the participants will be runners from the Balkan community, representing their countries and communities on the streets of Chicago.

The race will start and finish in Grant Park, taking runners through 29 Chicago neighborhoods. An estimated 1.7 million spectators are expected to line the course, creating an unforgettable atmosphere throughout the city.

Belgrade Comes to Chicago

This year, the Belgrade Marathon will be part of the Chicago Marathon celebrations, bringing a special Serbian spirit to the event.

A Serbian Cheer Station will welcome supporters on Sunday, October 11, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 744 N. Wells Street, Chicago.

Everyone is welcome to join, cheer on Serbian and other Balkan runners, and help create an energetic atmosphere filled with encouragement, community spirit, and pride.

Whether you know someone running or simply want to support the Balkan community, come out and make some noise for the runners as they take on this incredible challenge.
